When I recieved Blue Dragon I was so excited to finally play the first JRPG on mmy Xbox 360 that I nearly broke the game box's seal of! If you are a fan of other games made by Legendary creator Hironobu Sakaguchi then you feel instantly at home with Blue Dragon. The setting and texture of the game clearlt reflects those of his other games. You could call this a classic.

 

A world of imagination

The story begins in a tiny little village called Talta village with our hero Shu. The village of Talta is attacked every year by the so called "Land Shark" Shu and his friend Jiro has had enough of this and finally made a plan to destroy this Land Shark. But with their plan failing, their older friend Kluke decides to help. The Land shark dives back into the ground... Shu and his friends fall in and this is where the games mysteries start. The World Arch Enemy called Nene is controlling the Land Shark and is concucting a devious plot to destroy all humans. Why he does it> For the pleasure if seeing other humans die at his hand. But when all hope seems lost. A strange voice offers Shu and his friend to swallow Light sphere's. This game them a supernatural shadow called a Blue Dragon. Now the village of Talta is destroyed and the people are missing. Shu and his friends must set out to find the people of Talta and save the world from Nene's plot!!!!

If you are a fan of Fibal Fantasy tou will be happy to know that Blue Dragon is similar to FF7. The New Turn Based fighting system is great for first time players of the genre. It will also appeal to hardcore gamers trhough the various difficulty modes. You control your Blue Dragon power and througout the game you are able to unlo ck diffrent classes for your Blue Dragon to master. Its really fun to watch your Blue Dragon fight because off the clever use of the camera throughout the fight and cutscenes aswell. Also cool about Blue Dragon is that you will be able to control which monsters you fight. You can actually SEE the monsters walking on the field. You can "sneak" attack a monster from behind to gain advantage in Batkke, but beware of a monster sneak attacking you!! Now you can avoid those pesky "Weak Enemy Fights" and fight only the battles you want to fight. This also saves you valuable time. Speaking of time the game overall is quite lenghtly consisting of three discs, with the difficulty rising on each disc. The game overall is about 50+ hours. The Graphics of the game is probably the strongest point. The Draw distance, High HD texytures and Awesome Depth off Field quality makes the Graphics a unforgetable experience!!! The sound of the game is also very satisfing. The only bad thing about BLue Dragon is that the gameplay can get repetitive. BAtteling numorous of the same enemy's over and over can get quite boring and frustrating. But this does not take ou the Beauty of Blue Dragon. I think each person playing this game will get a diffrent experience because there is just a little bt of everything in Blue Dragon EVERYONe wil love!
